Therapy with Adults…

Adulthood is hallmarked with transitions.  These include transitions from: High School to College; College to employment; financial dependence on parents to becoming financially independent; single to entering a relationship (or vice versa); caring for your self to the rigors of parenthood; being cared for by parents to assuming a care taking role for them due to changes in their physical and emotional health; or the emotional strain associated in a loved one’s death.

At its root change is anxiety producing.  I work to support my adult clients in monitoring and regulating their emotional intelligence in order to maintain balance in their ever changing lives.  I utilize talk therapy, mindfulness based exercises, and cognitive behavioral techniques as resources for adults across the life span.

Therapy with adults can can take place in the form of individual, family, or couples counseling.
